Taiwanese Firm WiseLink Invests $10M in Bitcoin Treasury Strategy

Top Win International, listed on Nasdaq as SORA, has secured $10 million in fresh funding led by Taiwan-based WiseLink (TWSE: 8932), marking the first time a Taiwanese public company has invested in a Bitcoin treasury business.

The deal was structured as a three-year convertible note under WiseLink’s “Bitcoin + Cross-Border Finance” program. Alongside WiseLink, the raise attracted participation from Chad Koehn, founder of United Capital Management of Kansas, and several other private backers.

Top Win, originally known for luxury watch distribution in Hong Kong, began steering toward digital assets in mid-2025 after aligning with Sora Ventures. The company plans to hold Bitcoin on its balance sheet and explore investments in other publicly listed firms with similar treasury approaches. To reflect this pivot, it is rebranding as AsiaStrateg, emphasizing a new focus on Bitcoin and blockchain-related opportunities.

Proceeds from the raise will primarily go toward acquiring Bitcoin, with some funds earmarked for potential stakes in other companies following a comparable strategy. Management stressed that Top Win will not operate as an investment company or engage in active securities trading, aiming instead for a long-term capital preservation approach.

WiseLink CEO Tsai Kun Huang called the timing a “golden window” for incorporating Bitcoin into corporate finance, citing supportive monetary conditions and geopolitical uncertainty. The move positions WiseLink as a regional pioneer, bridging Taiwan’s capital markets with Bitcoin-linked assets.

Investors reacted positively to the news, pushing Top Win’s shares up by as much as 25% after the announcement. The transaction signals a growing interest from traditional Asian corporations in Bitcoin as a strategic reserve asset—without the complexities of direct cryptocurrency operations—and could set a precedent for others in the region.
